DRYVN PEOPLE
HR software for small businesses ready for more structure.
When employee details live in spreadsheets and requests live in messages, even a small team spends time reconstructing the facts. Dryvn brings people records, reporting relationships and supported HR routines into a connected foundation you can introduce in stages.
- Employee spreadsheet
- Document folder
- Leave request in a message
Organize the relationships
Three separate sources connect to one employee record, with a position, a manager, a document and a request. This is a conceptual composition, not a screenshot.
Start with what you need—not every feature at once.
Begin with a defined group of records and one recurring process. For some teams that is employee information and leave; another team may first need reliable reporting relationships and time recording.
Use the first complete request to clarify responsibilities: who enters it, who reviews it, what happens when it needs correction and where the outcome can be found. Expand the scope after that routine is understood.
The sequence below is adoption guidance, not a fixed implementation package. Availability and the right starting scope should be confirmed with Dryvn.
Know the person
Keep the employee record and the documents HR is authorized to maintain together.
Maintained by the responsible administratorHandle the request
Give employees a supported route for leave and managers a clear review responsibility.
Employee and assigned approverKnow who owns what
Keep the position and reporting relationship explicit instead of relying on memory.
Founder, manager or HR owner- 01Agree the foundationDecide which records, responsibilities and access are needed first.
- 02Introduce one routineWalk through a supported request and its approval with the people involved.
- 03Extend with a reasonAdd time recording, positions or entity detail when the operating need is clear.
Records, requests and responsibilities form the initial workspace. The adoption sequence adds structure when the team is ready; the stages have no promised completion time.
A small company does not need to operate like a large HR department to keep reliable records.
A SHARED ROUTINE
Everyone contributes. One person owns the process.
Employees
Use the supported self-service journey, check their permitted information and submit requests with the details needed for review.
Managers
Keep reporting responsibilities clear and review assigned requests. A manager role does not imply access to every sensitive employee field.
The HR owner
A founder, operations colleague or HR practitioner maintains the authoritative record, assigns suitable access and follows up on missing information.
MOVING BEYOND SPREADSHEETS
Prepare the information before changing the routine.
Collect the current employee list, employment details, reporting relationships and documents you are entitled to maintain. Check duplicate rows, inconsistent names and missing dates before treating a spreadsheet as the source of truth.
Agree the meaning of a person, an employment and a position. One person is not the same thing as the role they currently occupy. Decide who can correct the record and which supporting documents should remain restricted.
This preparation is useful whether information is entered individually or moved through an agreed migration process. An automated spreadsheet import is not promised on this page.
- Identify the current version of each record and its responsible owner.
- Agree the initial leave and approval process before inviting participants.
- Keep an explicit list of questions that need a human decision.
ROOM FOR A MORE COMPLEX ORGANIZATION
Add structure when complexity makes it useful.
Positions, employment history and legal-entity records can become more important as responsibilities separate or a second company joins the group. They help explain where an employee belongs and what changed over time.
That does not mean every small business should begin with a complex organization model. Review the wider People capabilities and the growing-company or multi-entity guidance when those questions become relevant.
Dryvn supports English and Arabic application experiences, including right-to-left layouts. Agree the required language and operating scope during your evaluation. Record software does not replace professional advice on employment obligations or specialist calculation and payment services.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
A few things to know before you choose.
What should a small business start with?
Choose a maintainable scope: employee records, an accountable record owner and one supported request or approval routine. There is no employee-count threshold or guaranteed setup duration that fits every organization.
Do we need a dedicated HR department?
No specific department structure is assumed. A founder or operations colleague may own the process, provided responsibilities and appropriate access are clear. The platform cannot make those ownership decisions for the business.
How do we prepare a spreadsheet?
Check the people and employment details, remove ambiguity about current records and gather the supporting information before onboarding. Discuss the available transfer approach with Dryvn; this page does not promise an automated import.
What do employees and managers actually do?
Employees use the supported self-service and request journeys available to their account. Managers review assigned work through the approval process. Access follows configured permissions and record scope.
Can mixed English- and Arabic-speaking teams use it?
Dryvn has English and Arabic application interfaces with right-to-left presentation. Confirm the relevant workflows and content-language needs during evaluation.
Can we create a workspace immediately?
The current public journey is the waitlist. Tell Dryvn what you need, then agree availability and an appropriate scope. Joining does not create a user, a tenant or an active subscription.
